The Trick to Consistency

A lot of players think that consistency is getting the ball in play.

That’s not consistency.

If you slow down and start just pushing the ball to keep it in play, you aren’t playing consistent tennis.

Consistency is being able to hit the ball the correct way… and being able to hit your shot 2, 3, 4 times in a row… not letting up.

If you can be consistent and hit the ball consistently just one more time than your opponent, you win.

The trick to becoming a more consistent player is a loose grip.

We tend to tense up as start to feel the pressure of having to repeat a good shot. Stay loose and swing the same no matter where you are on the court.
