Your serve is the only part of a tennis match that you control 100%. Naturally, how you warm up is an important part of your serve. While there are lots of ways to warm up, you don’t want to come out hitting serves full speed. This warm-up isn’t just a great way to get your body in sequence, it’s also a great drill for practicing your serve. Can you throw a ball 20+ feet into the air and have it land in the correct service court?
What’s great is, it’s nearly impossible to do this without using your legs and hip turn. This is what makes it one of the best ways to get your body in sequence and warm up your serve. After 3 to 5 throws, take some practice swings with your racket and you’re ready to go.
