Mastering the Lob Shot

A good lob shot can turn the tide in a game, but it takes more than hitting up.

#1 Tip – Go as high as possible. If you’re outdoors, use height as an advantage.

When you’re moving back, put some spin on it. Top spin, side spin, any kind of spin on a high lob makes it just that much more difficult to handle when it lands.

Most important – You HAVE to move in. The purpose of a lob is so that you can go from defense to offense. Use the time to get up over your opponent. You can’t hit a lob and stay back. Move in and prepare for the high volley.
