
With your forehand the contact point has to be way out in front. Your arm shouldn’t be very stiff when you hit the ball and you really don’t want your grip to be too tight. Adjust the tightness of your grip so you can feel the ball on the strings of your racket as you swing.
Not all tennis players can feel the ball hit the strings. Practice recognizing this feeling by noticing what every part of your forehand feels like.
Feel your feet move to take your adjustment steps. Then notice the way your racket feels in your hand when you bring it back and as you swing to hit the ball. Lastly, you should see the ball as it makes contact with the strings.
